John J. Abbene received a Bachelor of Arts degree, with High Distinction, majoring in economics, from the University of Virginia in 1976, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Mr. Abbene received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1979. He is an active member of the State Bar of California and practiced law in the District of Columbia and Virginia before moving to California in 1988. Mr. Abbene practices in the areas of corporations and business law, employee benefit and retirement plans, including 401(k) plans, real estate, health care law and taxation. Mr. Abbene is a member of the State Bar of California sections on business law, taxation and real property law. He is also a member of the Western Pension and Benefits Conference. Meredith G. Alcock received a B.A. cum laude from Yale University in 1980 and a J.D. magna cum laude in 1986 from the University of San Diego. Ms. Alcock is a member of the State Bar of California, estate planning, trust and probate section. Ms. Alcock has been designated by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization as a Certified Specialist in the practice area of Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law. She is listed in the Best Lawyers in America referral guide and has been named as the San Diego Best Lawyers Litigation - Trusts & Estate Lawyer of the Year for 2012. Her practice includes estate planning and settlement, and trust and probate litigation matters.

Melody Darvish received a B.A. cum laude from the University of California, Irvine and a J.D. from the University of San Diego. As an associate of Abbene & Alcock, her practice includes estate planning and settlement, and trust and probate litigation matters. Ms. Darvish developed a passion for these practice areas while serving as a law clerk under the mentorship and guidance of Meredith G. Alcock during law school. Ms. Darvish is an active member of the State Bar of California and the San Diego County Bar Association. She is working towards becoming a Certified Specialist in the practice area of Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law.
